Light and Healthy recipe

  • 8 oz 1/3 less fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 c granulated sugar
  • 1 Davidson's Safest Choice® pasteurized egg(s)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 pints fresh strawberries

  1. With a mixer, blend cream cheese on high until smooth, about 1 minute.
  2. Add Greek yogurt, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract to mixer and combine. Scrape the bottom of the bowl with a spatula to ensure all of the cream cheese has been incorporated.
  3. Spoon the mixture into a piping bag or a freezer storage bag and cut off a corner.
  4. Remove stem and slice the small end off of each berry.
  5. Place strawberries on a baking sheet, large end down.
  6. Pipe a small dollop of the cheesecake mixture onto the top of each berry and place a few small dollops on the larger bottom.
  7. Carefully place the sliced ends on top of the cheesecake-topped strawberries. Finish the top of each Santa hat with a tiny dab of cheesecake.

Pasteurized equals peace of mind

Davidson's Safest Choice® pasteurized eggs taste great and are safe for all your favorite egg dishes! Davidson's gentle water bath pasteurization reduces the risk of Salmonella in eggs without changing the nutrition or flavor. In fact, Davidson's pasteurized eggs have earned the Seal of Approval for exceptional flavor and culinary performance from the American Culinary Federation (ACF).

The Raw Egg Risk

Davidson's eggs aren't just good for sunny-side up or poached eggs. Consider all the recipes that feature raw eggs, like eggnog, Caesar salad dressing, raw cookie dough, custard and more. Take homemade ice cream, for example. Over a four-year period, more than 500 illnesses in the US were traced to Salmonella bacteria in homemade ice cream, according to the CDC. The ingredient at fault? Raw or undercooked eggs.
